Discover Rincon Santaneco

If you're craving a taste of authentic Salvadoran cuisine, Rincon Santaneco in Mt. Kisco, NY, offers a perfect experience. Located at 219 Main St., this cozy restaurant brings the rich flavors of Central America to the heart of Westchester County. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's worth making a stop for a flavorful, comforting meal that feels just like home.

As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a welcoming atmosphere that blends tradition with a modern touch. The interior is warm and inviting, with colorful decorations that reflect the vibrant culture of El Salvador. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease, as if you've walked into someone's home. The friendly staff adds to the hospitality, ensuring you have a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.

Rincon Santaneco's menu is a true reflection of Salvadoran cuisine, known for its fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. One of the standout items is the "pupusas," which are thick, handmade corn tortillas filled with a variety of ingredients like cheese, beans, pork, or even loroco, a unique Salvadoran herb. Each pupusa is cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you’ve never tried them before, this is the place to do it.

Alongside the pupusas, you'll find other traditional dishes like "yuca con chicharrón" - a savory combo of fried yuca and crispy pork belly, or "tamales," which are steamed corn dough filled with meats, vegetables, or even sweet options. These are perfect for sharing and offer a taste of Salvadoran comfort food at its finest. Another popular choice is the "sopa de res," a hearty beef soup with vegetables that’s both satisfying and nourishing, ideal for colder months.

For those who prefer lighter meals, Rincon Santaneco also offers an array of salads and grilled meats. The grilled chicken, seasoned with savory spices, is especially popular, served alongside rice, beans, and a side of fresh salad. The balanced flavors make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for something a bit lighter but still flavorful.

Drinks at Rincon Santaneco are a treat as well. Don’t miss the "horchata," a traditional Salvadoran drink made from rice, cinnamon, and sugar. It’s the perfect refreshing complement to any meal. For something a bit more adventurous, you might try the "ensalada," a fruity beverage that’s packed with tropical flavors.

The restaurant is also known for its excellent customer service, which is one of the reasons it has garnered such positive reviews. Guests often praise the attentive staff who go out of their way to make sure every dining experience is top-notch. Many locals consider it their go-to spot for comfort food, while others come from farther afield to savor the unique flavors that are hard to find elsewhere.

What sets Rincon Santaneco apart from other restaurants is its dedication to bringing the authentic taste of El Salvador to New York. The family-owned business prides itself on using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the passion for the cuisine is evident in every dish. Whether you’re a fan of savory or sweet, there’s something on the menu to satisfy your cravings.

In addition to the delicious food, the atmosphere at Rincon Santaneco is perfect for both casual meals and special gatherings. The restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate families and groups, but it still maintains an intimate feel that makes it perfect for a cozy dinner for two. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, the experience here always feels like a special occasion.

If you’re looking for a spot that offers not just a meal but an experience, Rincon Santaneco should be at the top of your list. With its authentic Salvadoran dishes, warm ambiance, and friendly service, it’s clear why this restaurant has become a beloved part of the Mt. Kisco dining scene. Whether you're enjoying a hearty soup, indulging in a plate of pupusas, or sipping on a refreshing drink, you’re sure to leave satisfied and eager to return.

  • We were looking for a good restaurant near the AB Cinema in Mt. Kisco and came across this one. What a delightful surprise! Family-owned, very local, authentic food, hard-working waitstaff that provide tremendous service. We split several dishes - tamales with cheese and sour cream, Pupusas, tacos, etc, and enjoyed everything. They also sell beer now. We will definitely be back!

  • I recently moved from an area where Salvadoran food was easily accessible, so finding this place has brought me comfort. Had the pupusas de chicharron and frijol con queso. They were delicious along with the cabbage and sauce they serve on the side. It is a very humble establishment which makes it feel quite comfortable. The two women that attended me were very lovely. I recommend giving this place a try if you’re in the area. Their soups also smell amazing — definitely ordering one when I return.

  • Woah! This place is delicious! The plates are very well served! You will not leave hungry. It was even though to decide what to order. Food came out in a very timely manner. The pupusas are by far my favorite I have ever had.

  • Great place for soup! Their sopa de res is delicioso! Small place that can get very busy from one second to the next. Nice portions when it comes to meals. Pupusas are ok, not the best but that's just me. Meals are made fresh so expect a wait. Well worth it! Service was attentive and friendly. Cost of food is excellent. Good cup of coffee as well.

My kids wanted the guacamole witch was AMAZING! fresh and execute to perfection my wife and I where in heaven tasting it with recently fried corn chips and the portion was huge. My wife also got the short rib soup and I got the chorizo and cheese pupusas, all was great. We will be back for more.
